Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.

L'Absorbs are a strong highly absorbent, lint-free alternative to paper towels and gauze. The cloth-like softness and lint-free surface makes them ideal for use in cover slipping and slide preparation. L'Absorbs are perfect for cleaning up all liquids but are specially suited to alcohol and xylene which evaporate upon use, allowing L'Absorbs to be reused. The thicker PELCO Image Tabs™ is a stiff 260µm (10mil) thick smooth conductive tab. Though not as conductive or sticky as the current 5mil PELCO Tabs™, PELCO Image Tabs™ are suitable as a photographic background and are repositionable. This tab is also suitable for Jet Scan applications where the tab must be removed and archived. The PELCO Image Tab's™ surface is less prone to bubbling and cracking when metal coated under vacuum and thus better than the 125µm (5mil) PELCO Tab™ as a photographic background for small particles like pollen and insect parts. Both sides of the 200µm thick conductive polycarbonate base have 30µm thick conductive adhesive. Total thickness is 260µm with a liner on both sides. Protection for handling, storage and shipping is provided on one side by the transparent liner sheet and on the other side by the white liner cover.
